A nature of a Christian is victory. Victory is an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or competition. Therefore one can’t become a winner unless he or she is competing. Christians today are facing different challenges in the areas surrounding them. As a Christian you have to stand on what you believe and this will define you with the life you are living. (Faith and work). The main challenge facing many of the Christians in the areas they work is copying the life of the people they are working with. This cause them living the life that is not theirs.
Most of the areas that have many challenges are bursars’ office where a bursar cheats by changing digits and cheating in the class especially at college and university level.Things that will help one to live the true Christian life:
1. Be transformed in your mind by the word of God.
English Standard Version Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
By reading the word of God we get to know the will of God in our life and therefore we cannot act as non-believers do. In the scripture we get the life for the scripture is the thoughts of God written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is like the seed that possess life, it is like an egg. “If you go deeper in the scriptures life will come out.”
2. Possess the right attitude.
The right attitude will:
- Disciplines you
- Help you to give out your potentials
- Help you to confess what you believe
The right attitude is the choice; and it depends on how you are transformed.
3. Seek the wisdom of God.
Wisdom is an important thing that a Christian has to pray for. Paul prayed that the God may give the Christians of Ephesians the “spirit of wisdom” for it is moral rather than intellectual quality. And a true wisdom is a gift from God to those who ask it.
English Standard Version
Job 28:12-28
But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man does not know its worth, and it is not found in the land of the living. The deep says,? It is not in me,? and the sea says, ?It is not with me.? It cannot be bought for gold, and silver cannot be weighed as its price. It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire. Gold and glass cannot equal it, nor can it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal; the price of wisdom is above pearls. The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it, nor can it be valued in pure gold. ? From where, then, does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all living and concealed from the birds of the air. Abaddon and Death say,? We have heard a rumor of it with our ears? God understands the way to it, and he knows its place. For he looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. When he gave to the wind its weight and apportioned the waters by measure, when he made a decree for the rain and a way for the lightning of the thunder, then he saw it and declared it; he established it, and searched it out. And he said to man,? Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding?”
